Demand Planning Manager

Vertical Advantage are excited to be partnering with a leading FMCG business based in the Düsseldorf region to recruit a Demand Planning Manager . This is a key strategic hire into the supply chain team, focused on driving excellence in demand planning and enhancing S&OP capabilities across the business.

This is a high-impact role designed to build and optimise demand planning processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in improving forecast accuracy and supporting the company’s continued growth across DACH and European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously improve the demand planning process to drive forecast accuracy and alignment with commercial objectives
• Own and develop the monthly S&OP process , ensuring strong collaboration across departments
• Manage demand forecasts for both existing product ranges and new product launches (NPD)
• Act as the key interface between supply chain, commercial, and finance teams to balance demand, supply, and inventory targets
• Design and roll out demand planning best practices, including tools, processes, and training
• Analyse key data trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement

Your Profile:

• Degree educated or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience in demand planning within an FMCG environment (e.g. food, beverage, personal care, or household products)
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
• Experienced in using demand planning tools (e.g. SAP APO, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or similar)
• Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage
