Overview

Cartier is seeking a proactive and experienced Deputy Boutique Manager to lead a high‑performing team in our Hamburg boutique. This role requires a blend of people management, operational excellence, and strong client relationship skills to uphold Cartier’s luxury standards and drive sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive and productive boutique environment by leveraging both personal and team savoir‑faire to build a highly collaborative network.
  • Ensure day‑to‑day management, training, coaching and motivation of the boutique team.
  • Monitor individual objectives, evaluate performance, and support personal and talent development under the supervision of the Boutique Manager.
  • Ensure team members understand and respect Maison processes and procedures throughout the sales ceremony.
  • Be responsible for the integration of new comers.
  • Follow up on training and sales coaching with the direct report.
  • Evaluate, set and monitor performance and objectives for the direct report.
  • Supervise and be responsible for the back‑office and administration of the boutique.
  • Oversee boutique expenses and ensure timely execution and delivery of all boutique reports.
  • Implement and monitor all brand and boutique policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Respect all group, Maison and boutique policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the set‑up and breakdown of the boutique.
  • Assist the Boutique Manager in diagnosing performance gaps, reviewing competencies and defining action plans to achieve brand and boutique targets.
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of boutique action plans.
  • Assist in optimizing boutique quantitative and qualitative performance, breaking down targets into monthly, daily and individual goals.
  • Be responsible for store turnover and achieving sales objectives.
  • Ensure development and strengthening of relationships with existing clients, encouraging appropriate actions and sales follow‑up.
  • Assist the Boutique Manager in monitoring boutique KPIs.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Maison, supporting the Boutique Manager to enlarge the client portfolio, grow loyalty and build direct contacts with new clientele and VIPs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of boutique clientele and assess local market opportunities to develop proactive client strategies, implementing and monitoring relevant CRM programs.
  • Actively contribute to the organization and coordination of client treatments and boutique events.
  • Follow up the quality of client data registration.
  • Ensure exceptional client experience through client gifting and maintain highest courtesy and professionalism.
  • Ensure staff appearance: uniforms, presentation, language, and attitude with clients.
  • Serve as key contact in the boutique for transversal and digital projects.
  • Monitor welcoming and flow processes, co‑leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to enriching the in‑boutique service offer, ensuring a highly professional and unique client treatment and experience excellence.
  • Carefully monitor the Client Experience Barometer, elaborate and implement related action plans.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience selling luxury items, ideally in the jewellery and/or watch industry, plus relevant management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Strong leadership skills with a keen sense for customer experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Resilient team player with a confident, open and appropriate demeanour.
  • Exact and precise working methods; ideally knowledge of SAP or similar merchandise‑management programmes.
