Desktop Support Engineer Scope

Our client is looking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer on an ongoing contract basis to provide support to its large user community in its Singapore Campus, along with deploying new technology to the business. The successful candidate will handle support issues escalated from the IT Service Desk, provide BAU systems administration, and support project-based requirements, including:

  1. Perform installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of desktop hardware and software.
  2. Assist in setting up and operating audio-visual hardware as required by end-users.
  3. Determine appropriate hardware and software based on corporate policy and end-user needs.
  4. Respond to incidents within SLA or promptly, with the appropriate urgency, and follow up with customers on all issues.
  5. Disconnect, move, and reconnect desktop hardware for individual users, multiple users, and office relocations.
  6. Roll out, deploy, and upgrade desktop devices using imaging tools such as SCCM.
  7. Assist in the administration and maintenance of technology infrastructure components.
  8. Support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of office telephony systems.
  9. Use the corporate incident management system to record and track all support activities.
  10. Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets for the company.
