Job Description

We are looking for a Development Plastic Engineer with strong experience in Product Engineering and developing new product categories.

Your Tasks

Conducting feasibility studies
Development of product concepts considering the existing variety of materials and manufacturing options - especially products with multifunctional multi-layer structures
Research into new materials and technologies
Creating/modifying CAD models and technical drawings
Technical product calculation (materials, cutting sizes, process steps, etc.)
Design and calculation of all tools necessary for the manufacture of the products
Creating data and specifications to obtain offers from external suppliers, e.g. tools, materials, semi-finished products, etc.
Coordination and provision of all data, tools, materials, semi-finished products, etc. required for series production in close coordination with sales, production and, if necessary, technical managers
Instructing designers and pattern makers on how to create new products
Accompanying the sample phase through to the finished product
Project management, scheduling, project communication and reporting

Your Skills

You are best prepared for this challenge with a technical education and subsequent professional experience in product development
You are passionate about development and think outside the box to develop creative solutions for the customer’s needs
You approach different parties in a committed and self-confident manner
Fluent German and Conversational English required
Independent and structured work
CAD experience (ideally SolidWorks)
