Pascal — DevOps Cloud Engineer in Stuttgart

»As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, I am an integral part of a project team. We communicate openly, ask each other for support and decide together - for example, about the use of technologies, languages or tools. We also all come together to discuss design issues. I appreciate that very much. In the team, I am the point of contact for challenges around Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes. My knowledge is in demand and my skills are recognized. If there are problems in other teams, I provide remote support there, sometimes across locations. This always gives short, exciting insights into different projects.«

How you work

As a team of up to eight experts in the areas of strategy, development and design, you will share end-to-end responsibility for the software. You deploy ready-made software components in the cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, OpenShift, Google Cloud) and communicate directly with users from a wide range of industries.

Responsibilities

1. Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
2. Design cloud architecture, select appropriate cloud services, and support their integration.
3. Monitor microservice applications across environments and optimize observability.
4. Collaborate with development teams on containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and security issues.
5. Participate in knowledge transfer via training platforms, sharing expertise on concepts, architectures, and test strategies.

Skills

What you bring to the table:

1. Structured and independent working style.
2. Understanding of CI/CD concepts and solutions.
3. Experience with at least one CI/CD platform (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
4. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with its components.
6. Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
7. Familiarity with observability/monitoring principles and platforms (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
8. Proficiency in German and English.
9. Nice to have: knowledge of software stability patterns and security fundamentals.
