    Football Victoria (FV ) is the governing body for football in Victoria.

    We are recognised as the organisation responsible for the administration, promotion and delivery of football and futsal (indoor football) in the state by both the State and Federal Governments, as well as Football Australia (FA).

    Our funding derives from membership and club affiliation fees, government grants and corporate sponsorship.

    Through the national body's affiliation with FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations), we look after everything football in Victoria including:

    Semi-professional ranks;

    Youth;

    Referees;

    Coaches;

    FV are a not-for-profit sporting organisation run by a Board of Directors. We reinvest any money generated by the game in a financially prudent manner, prioritising in providing more coaching, education, facilities, support and participation opportunities to the community and our partners back to where it is needed most.

    We currently employ over 80 staff to deliver on the FV Strategic Plan (“Our Football”) and administration of weekly football matches, producing annual football fixtures and appropriate rules of competition. Referees are also appointed to these matches to facilitate a safer and more enjoyable participation experience.

    We also deliver education programs and resources to talented players, coaches, referees, and club volunteers while promoting the game through various channels, keeping our members informed regularly through a dedicated communications program.

    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

    The DEI Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the execution and delivery of the key strategic priorities relevant to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion portfolio. Your dedicated approach will contribute to helping shape the future of football in Victoria.

    Working intently with the DEI Team, including cross-functional collaboration across all FV departments, you will use data and insights to develop, and help implement strategies to grow understanding and capability of DEI throughout FV and the football community. You will play a crucial role in identifying gaps that will strengthen the FV workforce performance through educational opportunities and learning.

    Overseeing a portfolio of funded projects, you will bring your skills and experience to help develop, plan, implement and evaluate agreed deliverables by helping to coordinate the timely delivery of strategies for impactful results.

    Your role is to help lead, aspire, and motivate to create a safe and inclusive football environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Drive the development and delivery of initiatives that foster the meaningful inclusion of women and girls, LGBTQIA+ communities, multicultural communities, First Nations peoples, and people with disability in all aspects of football.

    Project coordination and support of DEI programs including planning, delivery, and accurate messaging.

    Support and assist with planning meetings, events, functions, education, and related logistics.

    Develop a work plan and budget to support the program deliverables.

    Coordination of any official DEI advisory groups to support the project and achievement of outcomes.

    Maintain and support relationships across partner organisations and external stakeholders.

    Maintain program integrity through ongoing review of local programs, deliver support monitoring and monitoring participant feedback.

    Assist with the design, development, and implementation of training/education programs.

    Coordinate program evaluation including, distribution of surveys, capturing data and learnings from project delivery.

    Participate in workshops, capacity building and events as requested.

    Help drive the achievement of program KPI’s and performance targets.

    Attend and participate in meetings, communities of practice and other workshop/events as specified.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    Assist with the execution of funding agreement key deliverables and ensure all outcomes are met according to targets.

    Contribute to a workplace culture that is safe, inclusive, supportive, respectful, and enjoyable for all involved in our game.

    Individual KPI’s will be set and reviewed annually as part of the Performance Review process to measure progress and achievement.

    SELECTION CRITERIA

    Valid Working with Children Check & Driver’s Licence.

    Experience and knowledge in diversity, equity, and inclusion

    Experience in a project management environment or similar administration or operations management role.

    Knowledge of sport and recreation industry trends and issues

    Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with program partners.

    Ability to manage and prioritise key tasks to ensure program timelines and delivery are met.

    Creative and innovative with a real interest in creating a tailored product/program from scratch.

    Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal skills and influencing skills with a customer service focus.

    Well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills, including an ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

    Can foster and grow continuous learning, collaboration, and development opportunities.

    High attention to detail and strong time management skills

    A passion for sport and its ability to make a difference.

    Assist with education and event activation and delivery.

    Understanding of the new Child Safe Standards.
