Role and Responsibilities

If you are interested in the interplay of technical and economic factors, mathematics, natural sciences, and enjoy tackling complex questions, and if you work well with others and want practical experience through your studies, the dual study program in Sustainable Science and Technology at ABB might be perfect for you!
The program is offered at:

• Sasbach - in cooperation with DHBW Karlsruhe
• Lüdenscheid - in cooperation with DHBW Mannheim

The program duration is 3 years with a typical three-month cycle of theory and practical phases. It begins on August 1st with a two-month introductory event to get to know each other. You will develop foundational skills for a successful study and a solid base for future growth in technical, project, or leadership roles. During your studies, you will work in the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) area, receiving relevant training in occupational safety. After graduation, potential roles include project planning, execution, and implementation related to HSE challenges. You will interact with various departments and colleagues across the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (general or subject-specific) or university entrance qualification (with additional exam at the respective university/college)
• Good grades in math, natural sciences, technical subjects, English, and German are beneficial
• Interest in technical topics, challenging questions, and new software
• Responsibility and commitment to your goals
• Initiative and independence
• Perseverance, teamwork, and communication skills

Additional Information

During your studies, you will receive a monthly stipend: €1,267 in the first year, €1,337.50 in the second, and €1,443 in the third. Additional benefits include a company laptop, holiday and Christmas bonuses, and subsidized canteen at most locations. We also assist with housing search and, under certain conditions, offer housing allowance. You will be supported by a team advising and assisting you throughout your studies.
