Project:
I am looking for an editor for my finished manuscript (approx. 75 pages / ~160 standard pages). The book is aimed at independent musicians and provides a 7-step blueprint for building a successful career in today’s music industry.


Deadline:
Preferably by this Friday.


Tasks:

• Check for repetitions and remove or shorten them → the text should feel concise, without readers thinking “this was already mentioned before.”
• Improve the flow of reading → smooth transitions, shorten unnecessary parts.
• Ensure the manuscript is a coherent, consistent and engaging work.
• Align the tone of voice → motivational, practical, and consistent throughout.


Important:

• No content additions are required – this is purely about style, clarity, and readability.
• The use of AI tools (e.g. LanguageTool, DeepL Write, ChatGPT) is explicitly allowed, as long as the final result is professional and enjoyable to read.
• Goal: A book that is motivating, easy to follow, and free of redundancies.


Deliverables:

• Edited version in Word/Docx (with track changes enabled).
• Short summary of the most important adjustments.


Profile:

• Experience in editing/proofreading non-fiction books, ideally in coaching, music, or business topics.
• Attention to detail, but also efficient and practical in approach.
