Electrical Engineer

Overview

Winthrop Technologies is a dedicated data centre delivery partner, headquartered in Dublin and delivering turnkey solutions across Europe. We are constructing multiple projects in seven countries, totaling over 430 MW of IT load.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the Winthrop Integrated Management System.
• Manage, review and coordinate drawings.
• Advise and guide sub‑contracted staff on all technical aspects of the project.
• Prioritise and allocate work for the technical team.
• Ensure sub‑contractor compliance with all site and project requirements, including operational health and safety obligations.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and implement corrective actions.
• Manage document control to keep all logs up to date.
• Create handover packs and test packs for systems.
• Maintain health & safety compliance on site and promote safe practices among sub-contractors.
• Review working methods and implement safety improvements where possible.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and complete weekly ‘don’t walk by’ cards.

Requirements

• Relevant electrical qualification essential – e.g., a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• HNC/HND qualifications preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment.
• Data centre experience advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, communication and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
