Overview
Electrical Manager (m/f/d) role at Boeing in Hamburg, Germany. Our Commercial Modifications Team operates under EASA Part21J Design Organization Approval, focusing on interior retrofit projects and cabin modifications. We are expanding our Seat Integration Team to support unique seat certification and integration for Boeing aircraft models, delivering value and quality in cabin modifications and maintenance.
In this role you will
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the future of commercial aircraft modification within Boeing, overseeing EASA Modifications programs to ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements
- Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary, agile engineering team specializing in electrical and avionic design and certification activities, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and technical excellence
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a complex, matrixed organization, ensuring all projects and deliverables meet stringent timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Drive engineering functional excellence by optimizing people, processes, tools, and best practices; implement productivity enhancements and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects and process improvements, while actively developing your team’s skills, careers, and talents through targeted coaching and mentorship
- Serve as a key Boeing representative in customer engagements and on-site support during the embodiment phase of projects, building and maintaining strong, sustainable relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners
- Provide authoritative oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with Boeing’s strategic objectives

What You Bring To The Table
Basic Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited program in aerospace engineering, another safety-critical engineering discipline, or a comparable field, complemented by relevant professional experience
- 10+ years of experience working within an EASA Design Organisation (DOA) or a similar aerospace environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience managing EASA design organization projects, with strong leadership, time management, and budget oversight. Proven project management to deliver complex engineering change programs on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering job practices, with hands-on experience in Type Design and Continuing Airworthiness for Part 25 aircraft. Knowledge of certification processes, design changes, and modifications relevant to the aerospace industry
- Collaboration: Skilled at working effectively with colleagues, customers, and diverse stakeholders; building trust-based relationships
- Leadership: A true people partner with a proven track record of managing engineers at all levels and building highly effective, distributed teams in dynamic, matrixed environments
- Personal Attributes: A principled and reliable professional who values integrity, safety, and accountability. Inclusive and collaborative by nature, with transparent communication and ownership to drive results the right way
