The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated Python tools for the component modelling pipeline, from data extraction and model fitting to validation and integration. Close collaboration with the modelling team ensures efficient translation of theoretical models into code.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation tools: design, implement and maintain robust, scalable Python scripts and software tools to automate the entire component modelling pipeline, including data extraction and processing from diverse data sources, parameter extraction/generation and model fitting routines, automated model validation and quality assurance checks, and integration with internal databases and version control systems.
- Translate theoretical and empirical models (e.g., physics-based models, equivalent circuits, S-parameter) into efficient, automated code in collaboration with the modelling team.
- Create comprehensive documentation for all developed tools.
Qualifications
- Python expertise (≥ 3 years preferred) for engineering computing, data analysis and process automation. Experience with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy and with Git for version control.
- Advanced knowledge of optimization algorithms and statistical methods for model fitting. Ability to read, understand or contribute to C++ codebases. Experience developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for engineering applications with Angular. Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Keysight ADS, Cadence Spectre) and their scripting interfaces.
- Understanding of passive electronic components, their applications and behavior (electrical, thermal, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for collaboration with a globally dispersed team.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently. Meticulous approach to data handling, code development, and quality assurance.
