Rate: Competitive, based on experience €800 - €1200 (Daily)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the installation, commissioning, and quality assurance of substation works on a major infrastructure project in Lower Saxony. This is a freelance opportunity ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in high-voltage substations and site supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical activities on-site related to substation construction and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and documentation of electrical systems and components.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with German electrical standards and health & safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on substation or high-voltage infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and substation components (transformers, switchgear, protection systems).
• Familiarity with German electrical standards (VDE) and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous.
• Valid EU work authorization or freelance eligibility in Germany.
• Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working on renewable energy or grid connection projects.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and automation in substations.
• First Aid and site safety certifications.
