Overview 
Electrical Systems Engineer - High Voltage (all genders) at VÆRIDION, an electric aircraft OEM focused on regional air mobility and sustainable aviation. You will contribute to the design, development, and certification of the aircraft's high voltage systems, working within a multi-functional team and reporting to the Senior Electrical Systems Engineer. The role covers HV system integration, including battery systems, power electronics, HV EWIS, and associated sub-systems, with daily tasks for the propulsion team. 
Your Day-to-Day 
- Proactively lead and execute technical tasks within the R&D department for the Microliner development and certification, from capturing technical requirements to demonstrating compliance. 
 - Contribute to the definition, architecture, sizing, specification, development, and integration of the high voltage (HV) distribution system in the aircraft, ensuring safety and performance standards compliance. 
 - Develop physical and functional interfaces (ICDs) between the high voltage system and the aircraft structure and related systems. 
 - Coordinate HV system safety analysis and conduct system engineering tasks. 
 - Plan, coordinate and perform HV system validation and verification activities per aerospace standards such as ARP4754. 
 - Support the integration of the HV system digital mock-up (DMU) with the aircraft 3D model. 
 - Create a MATLAB simulation of the HV systems, identify failure scenarios, and optimize the design according to aircraft design requirements. 
 - Select, interact with, and manage suppliers, managing work packages related to HV components such as fuses, switches, harnesses, and grounding systems. 
 - Coordinate and implement HV components in accordance with safety, installation, and certification requirements. 
 - Define and plan HV equipment qualification campaigns with the R&D team, suppliers and other stakeholders. 
 - Support HV system hardware and software testing campaigns, from component test benches to full-scale prototypes, and aircraft ground and flight test campaigns. 
 - Ensure adherence to engineering processes and standards and participate in design reviews to meet development and certification goals. 
  
Your Profile 
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field. 
 - At least 3 years of experience in electrical systems design and integration within an aerospace OEM or similar industry (preferably automotive). 
 - Working knowledge of systems engineering and safety analyses per aerospace standards such as ARP4754 and ARP4761 or automotive standard ISO26262. Proficiency in airborne hardware and software qualification per ED-12/ED-80 (DO-178/DO-254); practical experience with aircraft certification is a plus. 
 - Experience with electrical load analysis (ELA) and electrical system simulation. 
 - Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent is preferred. 
 - Assertive and clear communication, results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership. 
 - Ability to interact efficiently with customers, authorities, suppliers, and internal organizational units. 
 - Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple tasks. 
 - Skill in navigating early design uncertainties and driving progress through proactive proposals and collaborative idea sharing. 
 - Positive, collaborative attitude in a multicultural team, adhering to company rules and values. 
 - Excellent verbal and written English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
