Electronics Firmware Engineer (m/w/d)

The Electronics Firmware Engineer is responsible for defining the architecture, developing and designing firmware for the manufacturing and operation of inspection tools, and continuously improving it. The role follows given architectural, test-driven and clean code principles and takes responsibility for the source code.

Responsibilities

Creates, develops and improves complex firmware for pipeline inspection tools and tests equipment, adhering to development standards, guidelines and legal requirements. Provides maintenance and user support for the developed software.
Creates and reworks documentation, test reports, release notes, and test instructions.
Actively contributes to and organizes architectural, test-driven and clean code principles.
Supports hardware development, including during the assembly and commissioning of modules.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related subject is required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in firmware design.
Experience in C/C++ and object-oriented programming is required.
Experience in debugging embedded firmware is required.
Experience with standard interfaces (e.g., ETH, I2C, CAN, SPI).
Linux experience.
English fluency and German proficiency at B2 level.
