Embedded Developer (Hardware) - Leipzig area

Based in Leipzig, Germany, my international client is offering an unparalleled and diverse Embedded Developer position, with additional hardware responsibilities.

At the core of the sprawling Engineering sector, this medium-sized, yet mighty enterprise designs and develops electronic devices for international clients. During this exciting time, they urgently require 2 x Embedded Developers to utilize their specialist skills to fuel the progression of the company.

Responsibilities

• Development and enhancement of electronic assemblies and control units, covering the full lifecycle from concept and prototyping to validation and series production
• Analysis of design specifications, regulatory requirements, and evaluation of implementation options (including manufacturing and cost factors)
• Planning and scheduling of development projects in line with the established priority roadmap
• Preparation of verification documents and test evidence to demonstrate functional compliance, and coordination of results with relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Documentation of development activities and creation of technical documentation for the designed assemblies
• Execution of calculations such as thermal management and installation constraints
• Setup of assemblies, design and assembly of test equipment, and commissioning of new test setups
• Consequently, interpretation of these test results and refinement of design approaches, if necessary

Requirements

• Completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• Programming expertise in C for embedded systems
• Experience in microcontrollers with PIC and ARM architectures
• Familiarity with Embedded Linux
• Experience with testing environments, including EMC, environmental testing, and certification processes
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Proficiency with PCB design tools
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory
