Project Overview:
We are developing a premium smart tech that combines wearable haptics, IoT, and smart storage functionalities. The project involves designing the PCB, embedded firmware, and hardware integration for a multi-functional module. The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded systems, wireless communication, and IoT device development.


Project Scope & Functionalities
Project will include the following modules:
• Weight & Motion Sensor Module
  • Detects weight and movement
  • Monitors usage patterns
• Haptic Music Feedback Module
  • Drives multiple haptic motor types: ERM, LRA, Piezoelectric, LMR, Pneumatics
  • Real-time music synchronization to provide tactile feedback
• Wireless SSD Storage Module
  • Provides extra storage accessible via Wi-Fi
  • Integration with MacBook, iPhone, and iPad
• Battery & Power System
  • Detachable and main battery with smart power management
  • Supports charging MacBook, iPhone, and other devices simultaneously
  • Blade connector with latch for rugged connection
• Charging Station
  • Direct power supply for the electronics
  • Displays charge percentage on screen
• Main Power Supply Board
  • Distributes power to all modules efficiently
  • Manages charging, load balancing, and safety mechanisms
• Smart Dongle
  • Connects to iPhone/Android via Bluetooth or USB-C/Lightning
  • Ensures stable audio & haptic synchronization with wireless earbuds or headphones


Responsibilities
• Design and develop schematic diagrams and PCB layouts for all modules
• Develop embedded firmware to control sensors, haptic motors, power systems, and wireless communication
• Integrate Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity for data transfer and wireless SSD access
• Test modules individually and in combination to ensure real-time performance
• Optimize power management for battery longevity and safe charging
• Document all code and hardware designs with clear comments for maintainability
• Collaborate with the project owner to refine features and suggest improvements


Required Skills
• Proven experience in embedded systems development
• Strong knowledge of PCB design tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCad, etc.)
• Experience with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, raspberry pi or similar)
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and wireless protocols
• Experience integrating haptic motors, sensors, and power management systems
• Strong C/C++, Python, Linux programming skills for firmware development
• Understanding of IoT device development and testing
• Ability to work independently and complete project


Preferred Skills
• Experience with wireless storage integration
• Knowledge of real-time music synchronization algorithms
• Previous experience with battery management systems (BMS)
• Understanding of ruggedized connector design


Deliverables
1. Full schematic and PCB designs for all modules
2. Firmware for all sensors, haptics, power systems, and wireless modules
3. Integration with audio and wireless SSD systems
4. Test reports confirming module functionality and power management efficiency
5. Full documentation of design, firmware, and wiring

• The budget is fixed at $1800 USD — please bid only if you are confident in completing the project within this budget with a deadline of 60 days.
