Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software components for innovative Nokia products.
• Create carrier‑grade application software in C/C++.
• Ensure functionality of features and non‑functional aspects such as resource consumption and performance.
• Document software development processes and key functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with test and field support teams to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
• Assist project management with planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of software milestones.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices.
• Engage in cross‑functional team discussions to explore new technologies and software solutions.
• Gain hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge technology in an agile, fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
• Excellent C/C++ and object‑oriented programming skills.
• Expertise with inter‑process communication, multi‑threading and other OS concepts.
• Design analysis skills, including experience with software modeling, reuse, performance, testability, and extensibility.
• Experience in software design and development on embedded/Linux platforms.
• Experience with embedded component testing and debugging at the interface between hardware and software.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Skills

• Professional experience in telecommunications (L1‑L3 transport technologies).
• Structured and analytical problem‑solving approach.
• Interest in working with international teams and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Fluency in German or willingness to learn.
