Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join the site-based construction services team on a large pharma project in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will have experience working with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, project management, and construction management.

Responsibilities

Lead projects from a Building Services and Mechanical perspective within a multidisciplinary team.
Analyze complex engineering problems and propose solutions.
Support fee and capital budget proposals.
Supervise junior staff in Building Services and Mechanical engineering.
Review work for accuracy and quality, perform peer reviews.
Engage with clients, vendors, contractors, and field personnel.
Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Conduct site visits for monitoring and signing off mechanical installations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical HVAC Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in heavy industrial engineering design.
Chartered or working towards chartered status.
Experience in industrial, pharma, or mission-critical facilities is preferred.
Proficiency in 2D CAD and 3D Revit/Cadworks.
Expertise in systems such as Chilled Water, Hot Water, Steam, HVAC, Exhaust, Compressed Air, and Lab Gases.
Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and industry practices.
Ability to perform value engineering and implement new technologies.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Professional and ethical approach to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
German language skills are advantageous.
