Your work will directly support clients in reducing emissions, meeting regulatory compliance, and improving overall air quality, helping build a cleaner, healthier future.

The Role

Working from their European HQ in Wetzlar, Hesse, you will be responsible for overseeing project execution for the European Industrial Air solutions team. Providing leadership to deliver high-quality products, and leading engineering teams in Germany, along with providing international support across multiple countries as part of a wider team, with key responsibilities to include:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise engineers, designers, and drafters to achieve departmental goals.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage team members, including conducting performance reviews and handling HR tasks.
  • Oversee and support drafting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Drive the execution of engineering projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Analyse specifications to determine appropriate equipment designs and ensure code compliance.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, datasheets, and bills of materials.
  • Provide engineering support to project management for original equipment and aftermarket projects.
  • Evaluate and approve structural and mechanical designs, product layouts, and system schematics.
  • Lead product development initiatives from concept through to execution.
  • Recommend and implement design/process improvements to optimise performance and efficiency.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of engineering management experience in an engineer-to-order environment
  • Proven experience working in international and multicultural settings
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to develop, manage, and coach direct reports
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects independently and delivering on time
  • Strong background in process equipment engineering
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Knowledge of materials, standards, technical specifications, and construction site practices
  • Experience with European Norms and Standards (e.g., PED, Machine Directive, CE marking)
  • Familiarity with QA manuals and working guidelines
  • Skilled in AutoCAD 3D, Solid Edge, or HiCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience dealing with external parties (customers/suppliers)
  • A team player with a proactive, results-driven mindset
  • Able to drive process improvements and implement new systems effectively
  • Problem-solver with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
  • Fluency in the German & English Language
