Overview

We are expanding our European head office in Frankfurt, Germany to support major critical raw materials projects. Our team delivers innovative, sustainable engineering solutions that drive the energy transition across Europe.

To support this growth, we’re looking for a Engineering Manager to join our team in Frankfurt, Germany. As the Manager, Engineering, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Leading and directing engineering and design activities to meet business objectives, ensuring alignment with client needs, HSE standards, quality, and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborating across global offices to manage resource pools, optimise capability and capacity, and drive a one-group culture.
  • Driving performance and innovation through effective leadership, goal setting, and continuous improvement.
  • Managing engineering resources efficiently to maximise chargeability and deliver excellence in client service.
  • Overseeing budgets, forecasts, and reporting for the engineering function.
  • Ensuring successful execution of engineering works to meet project commercial requirements.
  • Leading design management activities, including planning methods, policies, and procedures, and initiating improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and standards through Safety in Design actions.
  • Championing quality management and continuous improvement of engineering processes and systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA or equivalent management experience is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in engineering design, with at least 10 years managing multi-discipline teams.
  • Proven experience in EPC/EPCM project environments and metals/minerals processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow high-performing technical teams across diverse cultural environments.
  • Demonstrated high level of understanding of various cultures based on previous work experience.
  • Fluent in English and French; working proficiency in German is preferred.
  • Advanced client, people, communication, and management skills.
  • Diverse experience in processing facilities across multiple resource commodities.
  • Experience with brine lithium is an advantage.
