Your job

As an Engineering Manager with a hands-on mindset you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for Statistas internal Content Tooling platform a key enabler for our in-house researchers and data close collaboration with a strong Product Manager youll be at the forefront of building AI-enabled content production at scale. Together youll shape the roadmap empower a senior engineering team and deliver high-quality scalable and cost-efficient solutions.

What youll do :

• Lead a team of backend frontend and QA engineers creating a supportive environment where people can grow and do their best work
• Collaborate closely with Product to define and deliver on a clear vision and roadmap
• Support the team in architectural and technical decision-making while not being expected to contribute code regularly
• Drive engineering excellence and accountability for the stability performance and maintainability of the tools you build and own
• Lead and deliver migration projects Statista has a long history of building internal tools; youll work to consolidate whats still valuable and phase out the obsolete
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and partner with data engineers and architects to develop powerful internal content automation and tooling

Your skills

• 3 years of experience leading cross-functional product-oriented engineering teams
• Solid grasp of full-stack development ideally with Java React and both relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of distributed system design particularly microservice architectures
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset you build strong relationships with senior engineers product peers other engineering managers and various stakeholders
• Familiarity with building applications on AWS

Bonus :
