Environment, Health and Safety Manager

We’re looking for an EHS Manager to join our team in Berlin. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving safety, environmental, and emergency management initiatives at our site. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and external partners to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace.

What you’ll do

• Develop and implement safety, health, and environmental programs in line with regulations.
• Partner with site leaders and external agencies to improve workplace safety and reduce risks.
• Lead emergency response and support employees during incidents.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure follow-up actions.
• Organize medical check-ups, safety trainings, and employee certifications.
• Support and train safety officers, first aiders, and fire protection assistants.
• Prepare reports for authorities and manage regulatory inspections.
• Contribute to the planning of new labs and facility upgrades with EHS in mind.
• Investigate incidents, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in environmental science, engineering, occupational safety, or similar.
• Several years of EHS experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Certified occupational safety specialist (additional certifications a plus, or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety, environmental regulations, and compliance.
• Experience with risk assessments and safety audits.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and collaborate across all levels.

This is a senior-level position with a contract employment type, related to product management, administrative, and accounting/auditing functions in the hospitals and health care, biotechnology research, and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries.
