The Equal Opportunity Officer of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar is responsible for monitoring compliance with the Thuringian Equal Treatment Act of 2013. This regulatory work serves to promote and safeguard true equal opportunity of women and men in all areas of public life through the implementation of suitable measures.

Tasks & functions

To achieve these goals, the Equal Opportunity Officer is involved in all personnel, organisational and social concerns at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and is authorised to raise objections and review personnel files. Furthermore, the Equal Opportunity Officer participates in monthly conferences and working group meetings and works in trusting cooperation with the personnel department and the relevant committees. Together with the personnel department, the Equal Opportunity Officer develops an equal opportunity plan which, in addition to the current employee structure, aims to increase the percentage of women or men in areas where either is underrepresented.

Other diverse, practice-oriented services and activities provided by the Equal Opportunity Officer include:

participation in all stages of the hiring process – from drafting job advertisements to preselecting candidates to conducting interviews
support with managing familial, caregiving and professional responsibilities (e.g. working times, leaves of absence, re-entering the workforce)
consultation on matters of fair pay and job assignments
consultation on professional training opportunities and career development measures
involvement with drawing up service agreements (employment contracts)
support with bullying and other social problems
networking and participation in regional and superregional committees
