Drive Safety Excellence Across Clariant! Join Us as ESHA Manager (m / f / d) for our Additives sites in Germany - Gersthofen Knapsack or Frankfurt a.M.

We are seeking an exceptional ESHA (Environment Safety Health and Accident Prevention) Expert to join our team and lead our mission toward achieving our Zero Accidents target. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will develop and implement strategic ESHA initiatives while fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Responsibilities

Safety Leadership & Culture

  • Establish and maintain a zero-incident culture through strategic initiatives.
  • Lead best practice sharing and recognition programs across sites.
  • Drive harmonization and digitalization of all ESHA-related processes.
  • Lead and develop an ESHA team for Additives within Germany.

ESHA Management System & Compliance

  • Develop and implement ESHA strategy aligned with Business Unit expectations and legal requirements.
  • Drive implementation of Clariants ESHA policies (Process Safety Occupational Health Environmental Safety Emergency Management).
  • Monitor ESHA performance via KPIs and ensure timely quality reporting.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory ESHA standards and local regulations.
  • Define monitor and validate risk assessments and safety measures.
  • Coordinate with Operations to implement appropriate risk management strategies.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of ESHA standards across all sites.

Requirements

  • Safety Engineer or masters degree in engineering or chemistry.
  • 5 years experience in operations site / plant ESHA functions or similar roles.
  • Strong social competence and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Showcased a positive results-driven approach alongside proven change management capabilities.
  • Fluency in German and English.
