Job Title: Full-Stack Developer

We are seeking a motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our team on a long-term basis. This role involves working with modern and legacy codebases, implementing customer-specific customizations, and contributing to ongoing code rewrites. The ideal candidate has strong backend expertise, solid code-reading ability with limited documentation, and motivation to improve and refactor existing systems.


Working Hours:


• Flexible, remote position.
• 20–35 hours per week, depending on workload.
• Availability for agile sprint meetings as required.


Responsibilities:


• Maintain and enhance existing PHP (7 & 8) and Node.js/TypeScript codebases.
• Read and understand complex, minimally documented code (including legacy frameworks like Zend Framework 1).
• Implement and customize features for customers using in-house frameworks.
• Rework, refactor, and modernize existing codebases to TypeScript.
• Write and maintain end-to-end tests to ensure stability and performance.
• Work with MySQL/MariaDB using both raw queries and ORM logic.
• Collaborate via Git/GitLab for version control and code reviews.
• Participate in agile processes using Scrum tools (Jira).
• Operate effectively in Linux/Mac environments (Windows not supported).


Requirements:


• Strong experience with PHP 7 & 8.
• Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Strong code-reading and debugging skills with minimal documentation.
• Knowledge of SQL and database design (MySQL/MariaDB).
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, and collaborative coding workflows.
• Ability to write end-to-end tests.
• Experience with agile development and tools like Jira.
• Comfortable working on non-standard or legacy frameworks.
• Fluent in English (German is a plus).
• Must use Linux/Mac OS.
