This is a permanent opportunity based onsite in Nuremberg, Germany.

We are currently partnered with a world-leading research center in Germany developing cutting-edge next-generation products across digital power. The team is looking to expand its headcount with an Expert in Power Systems & Grid-Tied Inverter Controls to help drive future technology development initiatives and innovations.

Key Responsibilities for this Expert Engineer position:

• Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify, and formulate, power system/grid-tied inverter control requirements.
• Proactively engage with local grid operators, suppliers, and consumers to formulate internal technical reports on the latest industry developments.
• Investigate state-of-the-art power system and grid-tied inverter control technologies to identify technical trends likely to impact future power system & inverter technologies.
• Work collaboratively with standards organizations to influence the latest grid code changes and keep up to date with the latest standards for Solar PV/Energy Storage.

Key Requirements

• Extensive knowledge, and expertise, across various power generation, transmission, and distribution scenarios.
• Expert-level knowledge of power grid stability-related technologies and grid-tied inverter control technologies.
• Previous experience working with both national and international standards organizations/bodies.
• Proven track record with new technology development initiatives/innovations within the power system domain.
• Strong relevant publication track record.
