Description Summary of This Role
Oversees the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Manages real estate transactions, lease negotiations, and contract management for all outsourced facilities and facility services. Assists in the designs and development of organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout/interior design and facilities expansion. Ensures proper functioning of facilities day-to-day through ongoing inspection and daily maintenance of interior and exterior, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and emergency planning. Ensures the facilities meet code regulations, environmental, health, and security standards.
Ensures the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities, which are typically medium in size and/or pose moderate to significant risk and complexity. Interacts with leadership possibly at the executive level to search and identify available space to meet business need. Typically medium sized projects involve 10 to 15 facilities, up to 1 million square footage with an annual operating budget, including depreciation, up to $12M.
Monitors capacity, space utilization, and reconfiguration requests. Ensures all office interior facility space meets necessary business requirements, while maintaining corporate standards.
Creates and monitors project timelines for medium sized facilities projects, and develops reports, as necessary, regarding the status or projected completion schedule of projects. Monitors project to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinates and executes moves within the company and affiliates.
Reviews and negotiates contractual agreements and/or leases for medium sized projects. Completes necessary sign offs from other departments, and gets appropriate level of management to execute.
Develops and maintains relationships with Contractors, Vendors, Corporate Security, Information Technology, and Business Continuity and Maintenance for medium size projects.
Bachelor's Degree
Relevant Experience or Degree in: No degree specified; combination of relevant professional training and/ or experience in lieu of degree accepted
