Financial Accountant (f/m/d)

In line with our growth, we are looking for a Financial Accountant (f/m/d) to join our BU team in Munich. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day activities of our German and UK corporate entities and to support other group entities in other jurisdictions.

This position offers a diverse scope across financial accounting, management reporting, VAT and tax compliance, and collaboration with external auditors and internal stakeholders. The role requires a proactive and organized individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, international environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
• Oversee accounts payable, employee expenses, and payment processes
• Prepare and review VAT filings and other tax-related submissions
• Support payroll accounting and related reporting
• Assist in cashflow management, budgeting, and forecasting
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during interim and year-end audits
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of financial systems and tools
• Handle other ad hoc finance and accounting duties across group entities

Your Profile

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented multitasker who brings practical experience working with a range of tools and systems:

• Accounting software: Datev, Certinia (FinancialForce), or similar ERP systems
• Expense management: Concur or comparable platforms
• Document management and collaboration: Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
• Familiarity with automation or process improvement tools is a plus

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent professional training)
• At least 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally in an international or multi-entity environment
• Sound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); familiarity with UK or international accounting standards is beneficial
• Experience with VAT and payroll accounting
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
