I’m looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations for two hospitality properties in Frankfurt and Hamburg. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial management, timely reporting, and providing operational managers with the insights they need to drive business performance.

Your Experience

• Part-qualified accountant with at least 2 years of financial management experience
• Background in hospitality or service-based industries is a plus
• Proficient in German (written and spoken)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and solutions-focused
• Experienced with financial systems and reporting
• Flexible, collaborative, and disciplined

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations across both properties, ensuring accurate bookkeeping
• Prepare and submit monthly P&Ls, balance sheets, and VAT/City tax settlements
• Conduct monthly reconciliations, audit packs, and variance analysis
• Analyze KPIs and departmental cost controls to support decision-making
• Supervise and support finance assistants, coordinating accounts payable and receivable
• Act as primary contact for banks and internal/external audits
