Finance Director

We are seeking an experienced and execution-driven leader to take on the role of Finance Director, responsible for building and developing the entire finance function from the ground up.

Your Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for all Finance, Accounting, and Treasury matters
• Build and lead the Finance function (Accounting, Controlling, Procurement, Legal)
• Implement efficient processes, internal controls, and reporting structures
• Work closely with the CEO, the leadership team, and external partners
• Support post-merger integrations and M&A projects
• Develop transparent management reports and KPI frameworks for business steering
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (according to HGB/IFRS)
• Provide operational leadership with a hands-on approach — from data analysis to strategic decision-making

Your Profile

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Accounting
• Additional qualification as Certified Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer, CPA, or equivalent) is a plus
• Several years of experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, or CFO in a dynamic environment
• Proven track record in building or turning around finance organizations
• Experience in a Private Equity or investor-backed environment, ideally with post-merger integration and M&A exposure
• Strong hands-on mentality, analytical mindset, and high drive for execution
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English, confident in engaging with management and stakeholders
• Willingness to be on-site in Düsseldorf 4–5 days per week
