About Our Client
Our client is an independent, owner-managed private equity firm focused on mid-sized companies across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. They are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team and support the CFO and Finance Director in enhancing and implementing finance and accounting processes. The primary focus of the role includes accounting, controlling, and the coordination of risk and compliance matters. With two highly skilled fund finance professionals as direct supervisors, this position offers exceptional opportunities for personal and professional growth. The role is based in Munich, Germany. What the job involves

• Managing and coordinating accounting processes for funds, KVGs, and holding companies, including preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB, KAGB, and IFRS
• Taking responsibility for cash and liquidity management
• Supporting fund controlling and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for KVGs and funds
• Conducting internal controlling activities, including planning and variance analysis
• Contributing to the preparation of investor reports, including quarterly reporting, capital calls, and distribution notices
• Coordinating and liaising with external service providers such as fund administrators, tax advisors, and auditors
• Supporting the implementation and adherence to regulatory requirements in the area of risk and compliance
• Monitoring and documentation of relevant compliance regulations and processes
  
  

Who we are looking for

• Several years of relevant professional experience in a finance role ideally in the environment of capital management companies (KVG), financial services, or auditing (experience with Big Four firms is an advantage)
• University degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on finance and/or accounting
• In-depth knowledge of HGB, KAGB and IFRS
• Experience in accounting and financial reporting, ideally with renowned audit firms
• A strong affinity for processes and a keen interest in developing and improving existing workflows
• High confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
• Hands-on mentality, flexibility, and a strong solution-oriented approach
• Team spirit, reliability and accuracy
• Motivation to make a difference
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
• Excellent English and German skills, both written and spoken
