Description:
I have n8n installed on my Hetzner server, but the setup is currently messy and not working properly. The installation was done partly with AI guidance and later by another person, so now I’m unsure if I might have two instances running.

At the moment, I can start n8n and access it, but when I try to import workflows, I only see a “connection lost” error. It looks like there are connection issues in the backend. Currently, n8n seems to be running on port 5678.


What I need:

• Fix the existing n8n installation so that it runs properly and stably.
• Make sure it’s correctly configured to run on my subdomain (with SSL).
• Clean up any duplicate or unnecessary instances.
• Ensure importing and running workflows works without connection errors.


Requirements:

• Strong experience with n8n setup and troubleshooting
• Linux server administration (Hetzner environment)
• Experience with reverse proxy/SSL setup (e.g., Nginx, Certbot, etc.)
• Ability to quickly debug backend connection issues


Deliverable:
A properly running n8n instance on my Hetzner server, accessible on my subdomain with stable workflow import and execution.
