📌 Context

We’re running Meta Ads that lead to a WordPress page (advertorial + product page). When users click through to our Shopify checkout, the Meta Pixel stops firing, so purchases aren't being tracked.




🧱 Current Setup

Ad Flow:

• Meta Ad → WordPress Advertorial → WordPress Product Page → Shopify Checkout




Tracking Setup:

• Meta Pixel installed and firing on WordPress
• Meta Pixel installed on Shopify (via Facebook/Meta app)
• Same Pixel ID is used on both platforms



🚨 Problem

• Pixel fires correctly on WordPress (confirmed via Pixel Helper)
• On Shopify checkout, the Pixel does not fire
• As a result, Meta is not registering purchases
• Cross-domain tracking appears to be failing — session is not carried over from WordPress to Shopify



🧪 Troubleshooting Already Done

• Removed and reinstalled Pixel on Shopify
• Verified Pixel setup with Meta Pixel Helper (no firing on Shopify)
• Temporarily disabled Shopify’s cookie/consent banner
• Verified domain setup, redirects, and meta tags
• Ensured consistent UTM parameters and fbclid in test links



🎯 Goal

We need someone to:

• Diagnose and fix the Meta Pixel firing issue on Shopify checkout
• Ensure cross-domain tracking is set up correctly (WordPress ↔ Shopify)
• Help Meta attribute conversions accurately to the original ad click



💥 Impact

• Conversion tracking is broken
• Campaign optimization is off
• ROAS is not measurable
• Meta ad performance is being severely misrepresented
