We are Sebastian Seifert , Andreas Veller , and Achim Bönsch – all graduates of the WHU Bachelor Class of 2011. After 13 successful years building the fintech company viafintech and ultimately selling it in one of Germany’s largest fintech exits for a nine-figure amount, we are now pursuing new challenges and investing in startups and venture capital funds. For one of our portfolio companies, the PropTech startup vivanta , we are looking for a Founding Engineer who is excited to shape the technical foundation from day one and take on a key long-term role in the company.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end automations in areas such as accounting, invoice approval, communication, and property management – including monitoring, logging, and error handling.
• Build a scalable, modular platform architecture that integrates ERP, CRM, document management, and digital owner portals. Strong focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop production-ready LLM and ML features (e.g., document classification, predictive maintenance, AI assistants), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and deployment.
• Closely collaborate with the founders – you decide on architecture, tools, frameworks, and set technical standards (clean code, testing, code reviews, DevOps processes).

Requirements

• Deep experience with backend systems, infrastructure, and API design.
• Thrives in early-stage environments where speed and adaptability are key.
• Enjoys solving complex technical challenges with an eye toward scalability and maintainability.
• Comfortable working in-person with the founding team (not full-time remote).
• Wants to take ownership – both in equity and in decision-making.

Compensation: €60–80k salary + equity (pre-seed)
