Role Summary

As a Technical Staff Engineer - Applications in the FPGA Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting tier1 customers and field engineers worldwide. This position offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with a team of seasoned engineers across different regions, contributing to the ongoing advancement and development of cutting-edge FPGA solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with tier1 customers and field teams to provide advanced pre and post-sales support for FPGA/SoC designs.
• Demonstrate expertise in FPGA/SoC design phases, debugging, and hardware development tools.
• Lead cross-functional teams to enhance existing solutions and drive product development.
• Train field and technical support engineers on new Microchip FPGA/SoC products and tools.
• Create customer-facing collateral, application notes, and white papers on advanced solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in FPGA-based architecture design and support.
• Proficiency in FPGA/SoC design/debug areas such as DDR memory interfaces, timing closure techniques, and high-speed serial interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of FPGA devices and ecosystems from leading suppliers.
• Experience with embedded processors, C programming, and software debug tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Libero, Vivado, Quartus Design Software, and EDA tools.
• Expertise in VHDL/Verilog, system-level debugging, and board-level experience.
