At CounterCult, where deep tech meets culture, we aim to solve the human problem by exploring and preserving what makes us human. Founded by Shona Neary & Danaja Antonija Volk. CounterCult is building the first Culture Operating System , a platform connecting creators, venues, and cultural organizations through data, technology, and collaboration tools. Founded in Berlin by a team with backgrounds in tech, culture, and design, we are creating the missing infrastructure for the global cultural economy . CounterCult provides a complete system that tracks, connects, and powers cultural activity helping creators and institutions see their impact, collaborate, and grow. Our platform combines data mapping, creator profiles, and marketplace tools to make cultural ecosystems more transparent, measurable, and connected. We’re currently in an accelerator, preparing for the next stage of development.

Role Description

Berlin or remote within Europe | Part-time / Project-based | Start: ASAP

Co-create and oversee the technical vision and roadmap , from MVP iteration to scalable infrastructure.
Evaluate and guide decisions around AI integration , automation, and data architecture.
Advise on and implement the right tech stack for the platform (frontend, backend, APIs, database).
Support hiring and onboarding of freelance developers or technical collaborators.
Contribute to fundraising and accelerator milestones , helping make our product investor-ready.
A builder and problem-solver who enjoys in early-stage environments.
Experienced in platform development (bonus if you’ve worked with creator, cultural, or community platforms).
Proficient in web technologies (React, Node, etc.) and open to experimenting with AI and automation tools .
Strategic but hands-on, able to balance technical execution with high-level planning.
Excited by the intersection of culture, technology, and collaboration .
