Full Stack Developer
A Full Stack Developer is required to build the back end for a parking application designed to tackle the challenges of on-street parking in urban areas, beginning with New York City. The goal is to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) that enables users to identify available parking spots quickly and efficiently. This personal project has the potential to evolve into future development work, making it an excellent opportunity for a developer interested in creating impactful solutions for real-world urban mobility problems. The work will be carried out remotely with a focus on rapid and reliable delivery.


Deliverables
• Design and implementation of a scalable back-end architecture to support the MVP.
• Development of APIs to handle user authentication, parking spot availability, and location-based services.
• Integration with mapping and geolocation services (e.g., Google Maps API, Mapbox) to display parking data.
• Database setup and optimization for handling real-time user data and parking spot information.
• Implementation of a secure and efficient system for managing user sessions and interactions.
• Collaboration with front-end resources to ensure seamless app functionality and user experience.
• Documentation of back-end architecture, APIs, and workflows for future development.


Requirements
• Strong experience in full stack development with proficiency in back-end frameworks such as Node.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with front-end integration and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Expertise in database design and management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL).
• Experience with geolocation and mapping APIs for real-time data integration.
• Knowledge of cloud deployment platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for hosting and scalability.
• Strong understanding of security best practices for user data and authentication.
• Ability to deliver an MVP within defined project timelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an interest in urban mobility and smart city solutions.
• Remote availability and reliable communication throughout the project lifecycle.
