Freelance Consultant

Overview:
TransPerfect is seeking a knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in health and safety to support the development of a specialized English language training course. The course focuses on workplace English in the context of health and safety procedures, protocols, and best practices across various industries.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consulting to ensure technical accuracy and real-world relevance of health and safety content across:
• Written texts: Safety guidelines, incident reports, signage, standard operating procedures
• Dialogues and scenarios: Workplace instructions, emergency situations, safety briefings
• Visuals: Infographics, safety posters, diagrams, and illustrations
• Interactive activities: Quizzes, gap fills, matching tasks, and scenario-based exercises
• Review all HSE-related terminology for accuracy and consistency with industry standards.
• Suggest engaging and practical examples or case studies that reflect real-world workplace safety concerns.
• Support the design team in simplifying technical content for English language learners.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in occupational health and safety, risk management, or HSE compliance.
• Familiarity with international safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, etc.)
• Ability to communicate complex safety concepts in clear, accessible English.
• Experience in training or course development (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
