Project Description:
We are developing a digital tool to help airlines efficiently manage sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), including procurement, certification, logistics and fuel‑consumption control. We are looking for a freelance professional who has worked within an airline or fuel supplier performing SAF management or execution tasks. We are not looking for general strategy or business consultants; we need someone who has firsthand experience with SAF operations and is willing to share practical knowledge.


Responsibilities:

• Participate in remote interviews and meetings to transfer operational knowledge about SAF management (procurement, supply contracts, regulatory compliance, integration into flight operations, etc.).
• Advise the development team on key requirements and features for the tool based on real airline operations.
• Review prototypes or documentation of the tool and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide insight on best practices and common challenges in adopting and managing SAF within airlines.


Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience working for an airline, fuel supplier or airline alliance in a management, procurement, operations or engineering role directly related to sustainable aviation fuel.
• Practical knowledge of the SAF market, certification processes (e.g., ASTM), supply contracts and logistics.
• Availability for remote consulting sessions (video calls) and willingness to share documentation or procedural examples.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach; previous experience in process improvement or digitalisation projects is a plus.


Duration and Workload:
Consulting work via interviews and reviews, estimated initially at 5–10 hours with possible extensions as the project progresses.
Immediate start or to be agreed.


Compensation:
Hourly or session‑based payment, to be negotiated based on experience and contribution. Please include your rate and availability in your proposal.
