Frontend Developer - Freelance - Hybrid - German Speaking

About the Role
We are seeking a senior, pragmatic Front-End Developer to join our client’s team building an innovative Voice-to-Text healthcare product. The solution enables doctors to dictate notes and automatically generates compliant medical records, reducing administrative burden and improving patient care.
This is a high-impact role where you will take ownership of the front-end, push progress, and collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and medical experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-end development of a healthcare SaaS product using React + Next.js.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend services (Node.js, Python-based APIs).
• Translate complex user needs (doctors, clinicians) into clean, usable interfaces.
• Push projects forward with a pragmatic, results-driven mindset.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (data security, GDPR, medical documentation standards).
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Work from the office Tuesdays & Thursdays (mandatory), with some travel as needed.

Requirements

• Expert in React.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs / GraphQL and backend collaboration (Node.js, Python).
• Proven track record of shipping complex applications in a pragmatic, results-focused way.
• Strong ability to challenge, push, and deliver under deadlines.
• Native German speaker (must-have for working with doctors & local compliance).
• Experience in healthcare / regulated industries is a plus.
• Must be able to come in the office Tuesday+Thursday
