We are looking for a Functional Coordinator to generate, promote, and evaluate innovative ideas across all series released products to reduce product costs without compromising functionality, quality, safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

• Responsible for generating, promoting, and evaluating innovative ideas across all series released products to reduce product costs
• Analyze designs, materials, and manufacturing processes, and benchmark products and processes
• Coordinating, monitoring, and assigning work packages to the VAVE support team (Value Analysis & Value Engineering)
• Responsibility for driving cost reduction measures end to end and reporting the savings
• Conduct Should-cost analysis for engine and system components and assemblies and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to assess long-term cost impacts, as required
• Responsibility for preparing and monitoring project milestones, deliverables, business cases, and savings achieved while maintaining relevant reports and documentation
• Identification of potential risks and preparation of mitigation plans
• Accountable for implementing the identified measures in series production and contributing towards Project’s annual Cost Reduction targets
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with the engineering, procurement, and production departments as well as with suppliers at several global locations

Qualifications – Who We Are Looking For

• Successfully completed technical or scientific studies
• Several years of project management experience and experience with multi-project management
• Understanding of product design, development, change management, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (preferably PTC Creo and Windchill), aPriori (or similar Should Costing tools), SAP, DFMEA, ISO GD&T standards, DFA/DFM principles
• Knowledge of VAVE is an advantage
• Relevant experience with combustion engines and Generator Systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English and German
