Backend Developer (m/f/d)

Join Verisk to build innovative backend solutions using PHP8 and Laravel.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile team to deliver new features and improvements that provide real value to users.
• Write clean, maintainable, and tested code in PHP8.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA.
• Proactively seek ways to improve code quality and development processes.
• Support migration of our legacy PHP application.

Qualifications

• Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) and basic English skills.
• Experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of PHP8, testing, quality tools, and ORM.
• Experience with Laravel.
• Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker & containerization.
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud services.
• CI/CD expertise.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Basic React skills.
