Security
In line with security requirements for this position, the candidate must hold an EU citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.

Requirements

  • A degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end ground station systems for spacecraft operations, including spacecraft routine phase and direct involvement in LEOP activities.
  • Knowledge of TT&C systems, ground networks, and mission control infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ground segment monitoring, telemetry handling, mission readiness testing and validation campaigns.
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in real-time ground operations during LEOP, commissioning and routine phases, including support to critical mission operations, such as Fly-Bys, spacecraft safe mode recoveries etc.
  • Provide services for the mission-specific validation of ground segment elements prior to critical operations and after major modifications.
  • Define mission-specific ground station configurations during the operations preparation phase and following significant changes.
  • Contribute to the definition, development and validation of new ground segment facilities and tools and to the evolution of existing ones.
  • Participate in system validation campaigns, simulations, and rehearsals for operational readiness.
  • Operate monitoring and control systems for remote ground station operations.
  • Monitor and analyze ground station performance, network connectivity, and data flows to maintain high service availability.
  • Assist in anomaly detection, investigation, troubleshooting, and contingency response on the ground segment.
  • Generate, maintain and update mission specific ground segment operations documentation, procedures and training material during the lifetime of a mission.
  • Supervise and provide training sessions for other team members.
  • Support the continuous improvement of operations.
  • Be part of regular and event driven meetings with representatives of the spacecraft missions.
  • Work closely with the Spacecraft Operations Flight Control team, and external ground service providers.
