As Head of Data Center Infrastructure at Atmantara, you'll lead our infrastructure roadmap, overseeing both our growing cloud presence and hybrid deployments across Europe.

We're a high-velocity team based in Berlin and remote, working at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and fintech.

Role

As Head of Data Center Infrastructure, you'll lead our infrastructure roadmap, overseeing both our growing cloud presence and hybrid deployments across Europe. You'll work directly with hyperscaler partners and regional data providers to secure, optimize, and evolve the compute backbone that powers Atmantara's AI model operations. This role is central to our mission to abstract infrastructure complexity so financial institutions can focus on outcomes, not overhead.

You'll collaborate closely with platform engineers, model performance teams, and enterprise customers to translate model requirements (latency, replicas, compliance zones) into scalable, cost-efficient deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Atmantara's data center and compute strategy across cloud and hybrid environments
• Build and execute multi-year infrastructure plans for low-latency AI inference and model serving
• Collaborate with hyperscaler providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and specialized European DC partners
• Guide technical decisions around power, cooling, networking, and compliance infrastructure
• Interface with enterprise clients to tailor hybrid deployments to specific risk and compliance needs
• Optimize cost-performance tradeoffs for LLM, fraud, and portfolio optimization workloads
• Ensure availability, scaling, and monitoring standards for mission-critical model infrastructure
• Partner with engineering to define observability, autoscaling, and GPU provisioning policies
Requirements
• Have led large-scale data center strategy at a cloud provider or high-growth infra startup
• Bring deep technical knowledge of physical infrastructure: power, cooling, high-density compute
• Have experience deploying AI or GPU workloads in regulated industries (finance, health, etc.)
• Can translate infrastructure complexity into strategic advantage
• Are passionate about simplifying infra for mission-critical AI use cases
• Enjoy high-context collaboration with product and platform teams
Bonus Experience
• Previously worked with financial institutions or high-compliance hybrid deployments
• Experience with NVIDIA A100/H100 or similar GPU orchestration at scale
• Familiarity with European data sovereignty regulations and on-prem patterns
• Managed cross-border infrastructure or disaster recovery implementations
• Led build-outs of model observability or inference cost-optimization tooling
