What we’re looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated and well-connected Head of Government Relations to establish, lead, and expand our Government Relations capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for building and expanding our Government Relations team, develop high-trust relationships with political stakeholders, Ministries of Defense, procurement agencies, and other institutions across Europe.
This is a leadership role where you will directly influence policy engagement, stakeholder management, and our positioning as a trusted partner to European governments.
The day-to-day
- Plan, build, and lead our Government Relations team.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive government and stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including politicians, Ministries of Defense, and relevant EU/NATO institutions.
- Represent the company at political and defense-related events and forums.
- Work closely with the leadership team to align government engagement with corporate strategy, government sales and overall market priorities.
You should apply if you
- Are a native or fluent German speaker (must-have).
- Have at least 2 years of proven experience in a similar government relations, public affairs, or political advisory role — ideally within defense, aerospace, or related technology sector.
- Possess a strong understanding of German and European political and defense landscapes.
- Can build high-trust relationships with stakeholders and navigate complex environments.
- Are comfortable working in fast-moving, early-stage environments.
Nice to haves
- Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
- Previous start-up experience.
- Network across European Ministries of Defense, NATO, or EU institutions.
- Understanding of defense procurement and policy-making processes.
