    The Head of Investigations - Employment will act as a senior advisor and subject matter expert in the strategic handling of employment-related disputes and investigations across Abdul Latif Jameel’s international network of businesses. Supporting Corporate Employment Legal, this role will lead the global integration of investigation protocols and dispute resolution frameworks, ensuring alignment with legal obligations, internal policy, and reputational risk management. This is a highly visible role requiring legal acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive matters across multiple jurisdictions. Strategic Integration & Legal Advisory Lead the development and implementation of employment-related dispute and investigation frameworks across Abdul Latif Jameel’s international business units. Serve as a key legal advisor on complex employment disputes, disciplinary matters, and grievance issues, providing risk-based, solutions-focused advice. Oversee and advise on internal workplace investigations, including matters involving misconduct, whistleblowing, discrimination, harassment, and ethical breaches. Governance & Risk Management Collaborate with senior leadership to embed robust dispute and grievance governance frameworks across regions, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and cultural standards. Advise on risk mitigation strategies and ensure policies such as anti-harassment and anti-discrimination are implemented and enforced consistently. Ensure all investigations and dispute-handling processes adhere to due process and internal governance standards. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Support Support strategic business initiatives, including global grievance policy rollouts, cross-regional training, and ethical compliance campaigns such as “Aligned with our Values.” Deliver tailored training to HR and leadership teams on legal aspects of workplace investigations, conflict management, and handling complex grievances. Dispute Resolution Take a lead role in managing employment pre-litigation disputes, including engagement with external counsel where necessary. Identify opportunities for early resolution and protect the business from legal and reputational exposure. Maintain a trusted panel of external legal advisors globally and ensure the business has access to jurisdiction-specific expertise where required on complex workplace investigations. Monitoring & Reporting Monitor legal and regulatory developments in employment law and share insights across the legal and HR functions. Track dispute and investigation metrics and prepare detailed reports and case studies for executive and board-level stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Law or a closely related field. Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience, with experience managing workplace investigations or resolving employment-related disputes. Proven background working within multinational or large corporate organizations.Displays exemplary conduct to live by Abdul Latif Jameel’s core values Must be qualified to practice as a solicitor or lawyer, with practicing license or certification; or must hold an equivalent certification as an experienced investigator, (e.g., certified compliance professional or workplace investigations officer). Must have international experience and be available to travel for workplace investigations. Legal experience in a law firm (private practice) and in-house an advantage. Must have experience with employment investigations and including grievance and whistleblowing frameworks. Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-stakes or cross-border investigations in a corporate or regulated environment. Experience in contentious employment matters and workplace investigations. Fluency in English (must command excellent language skills) Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. International experience an advantage. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
