What we’re looking for
We’re hiring our first Head of People & Organisation to build and own the people function end to end. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll drive recruiting, people operations, and organisational design as we scale. You’ll work directly with the founders and leadership team to shape a mission-driven culture and create an environment where top talent thrives.
The day-to-day
- Run full-cycle recruiting: define roles, source, assess, and close world-class candidates
- Build and manage HR processes across Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland (contracts, payroll, compliance, benefits)
- Design scalable organisational structures, clear roles, and effective team frameworks
- Drive onboarding, engagement, performance management, and career development programs
- Own compensation, progression, and promotion frameworks that reinforce fairness and high performance
- Keep internal communication sharp and aligned across the company
- Set up and manage our offices as high-functioning spaces that enable collaboration, culture, and execution
You should apply if you
- Have 3+ years of experience in People / HR / Organisation roles in fast-paced, high-performance environments (startups, scale-ups, or similar)
- Have hands-on experience running recruiting end to end and love closing top talent
- Understand German labour law (and ideally European frameworks) and can handle compliance with confidence
- Are pragmatic, structured, and thrive in environments where speed and precision matter
- Care deeply about culture, team dynamics, and building organisations that scale
- Communicate fluently in German and English
Nice to haves
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or hardware manufacturing
- Familiarity with HR systems (Personio, BambooHR, or similar)
- Employer branding or leadership development experience
- Passion for European sovereignty and security
