Head of Process Engineering (m/f/x) | Neurology; Specialty injectables; Sterile formulations

In this role, you will manage and develop the Process Engineering Department, ensuring the technical reliability and stability of production machinery, equipment, and facilities. Core tasks include identifying and implementing process optimizations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality, as well as overseeing maintenance, repair and technical support. Responsibility also extends to troubleshooting process challenges, managing projects related to new technologies and products, and ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements in coordination with quality assurance and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary management of the Process Engineering department


• Responsibility for technical support and stability of production machinery, systems and equipment


• Identification and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs and optimize quality within your area of responsibility


• Ensuring compliance with all relevant GMP guidelines and regulatory requirements


• Leading and participating in projects for the introduction of new products, technologies and systems


• Troubleshooting and problem solving for process engineering challenges in close cooperation with other departments (e.g. quality assurance, production)


• Responsible for the planning, organization and control of all maintenance, repair and servicing work

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in process engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, engineering, biotechnology, or related fields


• Several years of experience in a comparable role, preferably within a regulated environment


• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and relevant standards


• Proven leadership experience with ability to motivate teams, coupled with entrepreneurial thinking and practical decision-making skills


• Structured, analytical, and pragmatic working style, excellent communication and collaboration abilities
