As Head of Product Development (R&D), you will lead the formulation, innovation, and development of new dietary supplement products, driving the company’s research strategy and ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends. This is a key leadership role for an experienced technical professional passionate about translating science into high-quality, commercially successful products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D team in developing innovative formulations across vitamins, minerals, botanicals, probiotics, and functional ingredients.
• Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from concept through to scale-up and commercialisation.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, regulatory, and quality teams to ensure feasibility, compliance, and efficiency.
• Evaluate new technologies, delivery systems, and ingredient trends to maintain the company’s competitive advantage.
• Build and maintain relationships with ingredient suppliers, research institutions, and customers to foster innovation partnerships.
• Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and project priorities across multiple sites or regions.
• Champion a culture of scientific excellence, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

• Advanced degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field (PhD preferred).
• Proven track record (10+ years) in R&D leadership within the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or functional food industry.
• Strong technical expertise in formulation science, delivery technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with contract manufacturing organisations or in B2B product development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and innovation.
