Health & Safety Coordinator

We're looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in Munich, Germany.

The successful candidate will be based in Munich, Germany. You will assist in overseeing and implementing health and safety protocols across our operations in Germany. You will ensure compliance with the latest legislation and play a key role in developing and implementing our health and safety procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
• Support efforts to ensure a full understanding and the implementation of ISO 45001 certification standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in investigating and reporting on workplace incidents and accidents, and help develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Assist in liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure the company is up-to-date with current health and safety legislation.
• Maintain knowledge of health and safety legislation in Germany, ensuring practices and policies comply with these regulations.
• Help prepare and present reports on health and safety performance to senior management.
• Assist in coordinating health and safety activity operations.

Requirements

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Some prior experience in a health and safety role, ideally within an FMCG background.
• Fluency in English and German is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.

Desirable

• Basic knowledge of ISO 45001 certification standards is highly advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist in thorough investigations and generate comprehensive reports.
